About Us
Sprout originated on a farm, and began as Sprout Farm in 2018, an agricultural education venture and afterschool program serving Southern Alamance County. The farm is located in the lovely countryside of Graham, 5 minutes from the Haw River and idyllic Saxapahaw on Highway 87.
In the Spring of 2020, COVID19 shut down our thriving programs and Sprout Farm went into hibernation to weather the pandemic and determine its fate on the other side of the public health crisis. In the Spring of 2021, with a vaccine on the horizon, Sprout bloomed again! It’s afterschool program relocated to The Hawbridge Charter School, and the farm became Two Sister’s Farm, a charming family horse farm.
In 2023 Sprout’s afterschool program expanded to serve The Expedition School in Hillsborough. As the school programs took hold within their respective school communities and solidified their own brand, Sprout evolved into Sprout Community and blossomed into a community support organization.
Its mission is to serve busy families and uplift other small businesses (women owned!) to serve treats and convenient eats to the Southern Alamance Community.
